Constitution of the Old Students Alumni Association
As Amended and Adopted — 2026

Article I — Name and Establishment

This organization shall be known as the Old Students Alumni Association (OSAA), hereinafter referred to as "the Association." The Association is a voluntary, non-political, and non-profit organisation of former students of the school.

Article II — Objectives

The objectives of the Association shall be to:

  1. Foster unity, friendship, and cooperation among all former students of the school.
  2. Assist the school in its development through financial contributions, scholarships, and infrastructure support.
  3. Create a network for professional growth and mutual assistance among members.
  4. Organize social, cultural, and educational activities for the benefit of members and the school community.
  5. Preserve the heritage and traditions of the school.

Article III — Membership

3.1 Eligibility

All former students who attended the school for a minimum of one academic year are eligible for membership.

3.2 Categories of Membership

  1. Ordinary Member: Any alumnus who completes the registration process and pays the applicable dues.
  2. Life Member: Any member who makes a one-off payment as prescribed by the Executive Council.
  3. Honorary Member: Any person granted honorary membership by the General Assembly for outstanding service to the school or association.

3.3 Membership Fees

Every Ordinary Member shall pay a one-time registration fee and an annual levy as determined by the Executive Council and ratified by the General Assembly. Fees may be revised from time to time.

Article IV — Governance

4.1 Structure

The Association shall be governed by:

  1. The General Assembly (supreme authority)
  2. The Executive Council (administrative authority)
  3. Standing Committees (technical authority)

4.2 Executive Council

The Executive Council shall consist of:

  1. President
  2. Vice President
  3. General Secretary
  4. Assistant General Secretary
  5. Treasurer
  6. Financial Secretary
  7. Public Relations Officer
  8. Welfare Officer

Article V — Elections

Elections shall be conducted every two (2) years by secret ballot. All approved members in good standing — meaning their annual levies are paid — shall be eligible to vote and contest for any position.

Article VI — Finance

The funds of the Association shall consist of registration fees, annual levies, donations, and proceeds from association activities. All accounts shall be maintained at a reputable Nigerian bank and require dual signatories.

Article VII — Amendments

This Constitution may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of members present at a General Assembly, provided that notice of the proposed amendment has been given at least 30 days in advance.
